Featuring a trio of 8K compliant HDMI inputs and matching output, this Yamaha AVR is ready for the next generation of TV. Using a 7/1 (in/out) HDMI interface, the RX-V6A supports your full system. It also supports a wide range of High Dynamic Range video formats. These include Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. The latest HDMI support also marks a big improvement in gaming. 4K/120Hz and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support maximise resolution and clarity. Ideal for HiRes music and home cinema, the amp powers your music or soundtracks with gusto – keeping you on the edge of your seat during action movies or gaming, and totally bewitched by your favourite music. This design of amplifier can be tricky to optimise, but Yamaha’s unique design achieves dynamic scale while also maintaining a stable signal transmission.
Surround sound, untied
For an easy way to reduce cabling, the RX-V6A offers the option of wireless rear speakers. Combine this receiver with the Yamaha MusicCast 20 or MusicCast 50 speakers and you can leave aside speaker cable connections. Perfect if you have a solid floor and struggle to hide speaker cable or if you simply want a cleaner style, wireless surround speakers cut down on the clutter.
Connect more – including a turntable
As well as seven HDMI inputs, this Yamaha AVR also has a wide range of other AV connectivity. Optical coaxial digital inputs are ideal for connecting older devices or upgrading the sound from a compatible CD/Network player. Three analogue inputs are perfect for Hi-Fi components, with the dedicated MM phono input perfect for plugging in a turntable. The Zone 2 output gives you the option of adding a second pair of speakers in another room.
MusicCast for music all around your home
The Yamaha RX-V6A is part of Yamaha's hugely impressive network audio system, MusicCast. With MusicCast you control all your compatible Yamaha MusicCast products via your smartphone or even Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant by voice*. Play the same music on all the components or split the sound into different zones for different moods in each room; the choice is yours. Stream the best music services
Compatible with Amazon Music, Spotify Premium, Pandora, Napster, Tidal, Deezer and Qobuz, the RXV6A is fully equipped for your favourite music streaming service. With Tidal and Qobuz already offering higher resolution playback, it’s now possible to find a streaming service that at least matches the quality of CD and, in some cases, even improves upon it.
Advanced networking including Apple AirPlay and Bluetooth
As well as MusicCast, the RX-V6A is also compatible with Apple AirPlay 2, letting you stream music from your Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or other compatible Apple device, wirelessly, around your home. Just ask Siri where you want the music to play. For a quick and easy connection with your smartphone, use the Bluetooth connection for easy music streaming.
