iFi GO bar Kensei

The iFi GO bar Kensei is a flagship ultra-portable USB DAC and headphone amplifier designed to deliver high-resolution audio from smartphones, tablets, and computers. It combines JVCKENWOOD's K2HD Technology with a 32-bit Cirrus Logic DAC, 16-core XMOS processing, iFi's custom OV Series op-amp, and powerful balanced headphone amplification in a compact USB-powered design.

K2HD Technology is the defining feature of the Kensei. Developed by JVCKENWOOD, it is designed to restore harmonic information in digital recordings, extending high-frequency overtones to create a richer, more natural presentation closer to the original master.

The GO bar Kensei supports PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz, native DSD256, DXD up to 384kHz, and full MQA decoding. Its 4.4mm balanced output delivers up to 477mW into 32Ω and 7.2V into 600Ω, providing substantial drive for a wide range of headphones.

iEMatch optimizes output for sensitive IEMs, while Turbo mode adds +6dB of gain for more demanding headphones. XBass+ and XSpace provide additional analogue sound adjustment, while the machined Japanese stainless-steel chassis gives the Kensei a premium, highly rigid portable enclosure.

K2HD Technology

K2HD Technology analyzes the harmonic structure of compatible PCM audio and is designed to restore high-frequency harmonic information that may be diminished during digital processing. XBass+ provides analogue low-frequency enhancement for headphones that may benefit from additional bass presence, while XSpace is designed to create a wider, more spacious headphone presentation.
