The Chord Electronics Huei is a high-performance phono stage designed to bring exceptional flexibility and precision to vinyl playback. Supporting both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges, Huei offers extensive gain and impedance adjustment for precise cartridge matching across a wide range of turntable systems.
Designed, engineered, and manufactured in Great Britain, Huei combines Chord Electronics' amplifier expertise with advanced microprocessor control in a compact, precision-machined aluminum chassis.
Flexible MM & MC Cartridge Matching
Huei provides comprehensive adjustment for both MM and MC cartridges. Moving Magnet cartridges use a 47 kΩ input impedance, while Moving Coil cartridges benefit from 12 selectable impedance settings ranging from 100Ω to 3.7 kΩ.
An eight-stage switchable gain system provides further flexibility for matching cartridge output levels. Illuminated front-panel controls provide direct access to MM/MC selection, gain, impedance, and the built-in rumble filter, while a convenient memory function recalls your settings.
Precision Vinyl Playback
Huei incorporates ultra-low-noise microprocessor control and precision RIAA equalization with ±0.1 dB accuracy. A switchable Rausch-slope rumble filter helps reduce unwanted low-frequency energy below 50 Hz.
Both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR outputs provide flexible integration with a wide range of amplifiers and high-performance audio systems.
