The Chord Electronics Anni is a compact desktop integrated amplifier designed to power both high-performance headphones and compact loudspeakers. Part of Chord's Qutest range, Anni brings technology derived from the company's ULTIMA amplification platform into a small, precision-machined aluminum chassis ideal for desktop and compact HiFi systems.

Delivering 10 watts into 8Ω, Anni combines Chord's dual-feed-forward error-correction topology with dedicated headphone and loudspeaker outputs, two analog line inputs, and selectable gain control.

ULTIMA-Derived Amplifier Technology

Anni incorporates Chord's dual-feed-forward error-correction circuit topology, bringing technology developed for the ULTIMA amplifier range to a compact desktop design.

The amplification stage continuously monitors and compensates the signal, whether Anni is being used with headphones or compact loudspeakers. A Class AB sliding-bias design and high-frequency switch-mode power supply support the amplifier's compact, high-performance architecture.

Headphone & Speaker Amplification

Anni is designed to serve both headphone and loudspeaker systems from a single compact component.

For headphone listening, it provides dedicated 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm headphone outputs, allowing two compatible headphones to be connected simultaneously.

For loudspeakers, Anni provides 4 mm banana-type speaker outputs and delivers 10 watts into 8Ω, making it particularly well suited to efficient compact loudspeakers and desktop monitors.

A two-stage gain control provides additional flexibility when matching Anni with different loudspeaker systems.

Two Analog Line Inputs

Anni provides two unbalanced RCA line-level inputs, allowing two compatible analog sources to remain connected.

The front-mounted volume control also functions as the input selector, keeping everyday operation simple while maintaining the compact footprint of the Qutest range.

Because Anni is an analog integrated amplifier, it does not include a built-in DAC or phono stage. Digital sources require a separate DAC, while a turntable requires a compatible phono preamplifier.

Designed for the Qutest System

Anni shares the compact form factor of Chord's Qutest DAC and Huei phono stage, making the three components natural partners for a modular desktop or compact HiFi system.

Qutest can provide high-resolution digital-to-analog conversion, Huei can handle moving-magnet and moving-coil turntables, and Anni provides the amplification for headphones or compact loudspeakers.

The components can also be housed in Chord's optional Qutest System Stand (QSS) for a compact stacked installation.
